Ask Huey would be known to Yakabout readers as one of the countries most popular weather forecast websites and is one of my personal favourites because I find it quick and easy to navigate the info I'm after. Recently they've also released a couple of products, both of them related to having fun in the sun... safely. One of the product catagories is a range of value-priced polarized sunnies. The other is a suncream and it this stuff really took my attention. Not because I'm a suncream junkie, but more so because of an interesting feature printed onto the packet. It's a scannable QR bar-code image that can be scanned by any mobile phone equipped with a code reader, which will then automatically log in to Ask Huey's mobile weather forecast service (m.askhuey.com.au) and give you an update on the weather.
This is very cool. And given how useful we found weather updates throughout our Fraser Island expedition recently, it would appear as if I now have a new favourite suncream. But it's not just scannable automated weather updates this cream offers - it's also rated at SPF30+, is water resistant (4 hours), non-slip dry lotion and has a 3 year shelf life. Ask Huey suncream can be purchased from various watersports outlets across the country (including several Hobie dealers).
