Election day... what to do?

It appears as if a national election is right around the corner and bound by law, those of us who have come of age have to cast a vote. I'm not going to get into who I'd vote for because truth be told, I'd rather go fishing instead. I am kind of curoius though... what would you do? If you have an opinion on the matter go forth and cast your vote.   

I really think that its pretty silly that we have to vote by law. The problem I see is that a lot of people really don't have an opinion. And that's fine by me, save for the fact that come election day, they really haven't put much thought into the matter . So what inevitably happens is that such people wind up saying 'heck, I dunno... better the devil you know I guess.'

Somehow I think thats why big Johnny is still in power. I think it would make more sense if people didn't have to vote by law. That way, only those with an opinion would make the effort. And typically, one way or the other, people with opinions have usually looked into the matter. And those who really couldn't give a toss could just go fishing instead. Easy, peesy, lemon squeezy!
