All kinds even!

chicky
Had I known for sure this bird was tasty, I would have killed it, because it was pissing me off

I once blogged that Hobie kayaks get you chicks, simply by virtue of being such a talking point. That was before I set off on this trip and the sentiment just grows stronger. I had to turn this ugly little chicky babe down, however, because anything with a double chin is off limits in my book. In all seriousness though, so far there have been two occaisons where nearby campers of the female variety have approached me and used the odd looking kayak with the funny pedal things sticking out of it to start a conversation. And said conversations seemed to go longer than they would naturally otherwise. There was a catch both times though - they were single mothers.

Now, don't get me wrong. It's not single mothers I'm wary of. It's the ones that live full-time in caravan parks that worry me, especially when (as one of them did) they go on and on about how they need to meet the right man, and just don't seem to leave you alone. Hehe... trailer park trash or not, had they come any closer and smelled how fishy I was (not just fish blood and guts, but also the stinky attractants I've started smearing over lures) I reckon even the most desperate would soon shy away. It's funny really - those tuna-fied pheromones might attract fish, but I'm willing to bet that at close quarters, the opposite would be true of women.
