I've been pretty keen to get myself up here in Townsville for a few reasons. One of which being that Magnetic Island is one of those places made for just such a sport. And in my experience it's not at all short on fish. Right now I'm planning on paddling over there and working my way around over the period of a couple of days (at least). Astro expressed interest in joining in, although that may well come down to timing. A quick look on Google earth reveals many other potential yak fishing spots as well. There's lots for me to do here, so I'll be stationed here for a few weeks at least. The other reason I'm pleased to be here is that I have some really good friends here - the kind that remain just as string a friend as they ever were, no matter how much time and distance had previously seperated us. Accomodation costs shouldn't be a problem for me here and it's just nice to have some familiar faces around. Yesterday was way too windy for me to get out fishing and high winds are expected for the next day or so. That being the case, now would be a good time to catch up on some backend work thats been nipping at my heels for a while. Thus the yakabout website will get yet another fine-tooth combing in the next couple of days.

I'll email those phoos tonight. I can't tll you why your PC wants u to log in each time, because its not happening on other systems. I'm guessing that started gppening when we instaled firefox, though I'm not sure why. Does the same thing happen in IE? If not, its a firefox issue. On the top menu, click tools, then options, and then see if you can see something ticked thats making it happen. I'm thinking I'll do well here in Townsville, partly because I know the island fishes well, but also because I'll be spending a bit longer here than most places I've stopped at.
