Security code enabled for comments to combat spam

Image
I've been forced to switch on the security code on the add comment feature, which is something I'd hoped to be able to avoid. But alas yakabout was infiltrated by a spam bot, which went about placing thousands of links to countless useless websites in comment sections of numerous past posts I'd made. In this instance it seemed to be harmless enough (ie: not porn sites), but it could have been much worse.

It took me longer to figure out it was going on than it did to put an end to it, but it's left a sour taste in my mouth. Only way around that is to run the security code feature, which if you take a moment to leave a comment, will cost you an extra nano-second to enter the code. 1000 apologies for those of you who don't go around spamming wherever and whenever you get the opportunity.
