Kayakfishingnation.com have uploaded a video created by Nate of the US Hobie fishing team of the new Pro Angler model that is scheduled to hit market soon. I have to say that after watching this clip you can colour me impressed. Admittedly I wasn't expecting to be blown away by this boat but (just like the inflatable series) it looks as if Hobie have truly put any doubts I had to rest. Its really very obvious that a hell of a lot of thought has gone into this and now I can see why the moniker 'Pro Angler' is really very fitting. This isn't a yak designed with a few features that lend itself to fishing - the complete craft has been designed from the ground up with fishing - and only fishing - in mind.
I haven't yet seen one in the flesh but I can already tell that this 'kayak' (or fishing platform, as I prefer to call it) is going to be a ripper boat for fishing protected bays, estuaries, lakes and rivers. But enough from me... go forth and see it for yourself!
