I was chasing tuna and mackerel this day but all I caught were a couple of sharks (and a few bream). These guys - 1 at 4 foot, the other at 5, gave my knots and tackle a really good test and it all held together nicely. I considered taking the 1st shark aboard for a moment, but then saw a bunch of his buddies swimming just a metre or two below him. I then thought better of it. The next one (5 footer) came in alone but with more aggression. In a bid to escape while I tried to remove the hook it actually tail whipped me in the leg (and the hull of the kayak) which made an almight bang. Sadly my camera batteries had run out at this stage so I didn't get that part of the fight captured on video. That's a shame because it would have made for great footage. Both sharks were let go.
